Working our Brains with Numbers, Colors, and Fine Motor Skills

Today, we worked on counting from 1 to 10. This is a cute book we utilized to count all the monkeys on each page as I read to my son. It is short, sweet, and to the point book. My boy does not sit very long for story time, so it is a good book to go over counting and book elements (cover, author, illustrations, and modeling how to read from left to right). The other activity we did was the peg board. We went over the colors of the pegs before I handed them to him and prompted him to put the peg in the board slots. The idea is for him to use his "pincher grasp" to hold and insert the pegs into the board and practice his hand-eye coordination. It was a productive day and I am very proud of him for his participation.
