Have you ever walked around your local Home Depot or Lowes and could not stop yourself from smacking a bag of sand or lawn fertilizer? If you are like me, you like to touch things just for the sake of touching them. It is for that reason and many more that I really like this counting book. I went over counting with my 7 year old today and I wanted to share with you what the book looks like and why I think it is great. The book counts down from 10 to 1 and allows the reader to "pop" the sea creatures as they count. The popping sound is comparable to when you pop bubble wrap (at least in my opinion). My son does not sit still for very long when I normally read to him, but the interactive aspect of this book helps keep him more engaged. Each page has a different type of sea creature and is sold by Melissa & Doug. It is a book my son enjoys and we can practice counting in a fun way!
disclaimer I have no affiliation with Melissa & Doug and I do not profit from their sales by posting this blog.
